Techno-Bach and Vee enjoyed a weekend in the big city with the Palmans. Our time with these three grands seems few and far between but such good quality time. Less is definitely more sometimes:)
We arrived late on a Friday afternoon just in time for me, Cait, and the boys to browse some shops for interior accessories. The Princess opted to stay at home with her grand-dad, TechnoBach (as she calls him:)...and for those who know him, that's a pretty funny description:)..., G'mama (who came with us for the weekend), and Jim. After all, what sixteen year old wants to shop for "house" things?
On Saturday, Cait pulled an extra shift at her new part-time job so we helped Jim with babysitting duties. Princess was busy with some volunteer community work (Aunt Peggy would be proud as it has to do with doggy adoptions:). G'mama and I managed to leave the boys with Bach and Jim for a few minutes while we hit a local consignment shop - fun, fun! Our focus for the day was to surprise Caitlin with a little interior decorating. Unless she was just being nice to me, I think she was pleasantly pleased with our projects. Bach and Jim were so sweet and patient to hang two large mirrors and a huge painting. G'mama was a gem to play with the kiddos while I played interior designer for the day:) Wish I got excited about working in my own home. For some reason, that becomes "work" but when it's one of my children's homes, it's more like "playing house:)"
On Sunday, four year old little man sang in church. He did really well. We were able to tour his future preschool and meet some of his new friends.
...and of course, Vee worked in a couple of photo sessions with my little peeps:)
