Baseball, Babies, and a Wedding!

Happy Maddox

Owen and Sambo

Baby Boys - Oh my goodness, these two just keep getting better! Owen and Maddox love to play together. Their conversations are too cute! Playing ball, the slide, and their train table are still favorites for their winter days in Vee's house.
Maddox understands EVERYTHING, and can say a few words. When Steve came home from work Monday evening, Maddox was just finishing his supper as he looked up and tried to greet his Bach. Out of habit, I reached down to pat Maddox's headful of thick, healthy hair. From the back, it reminded me of Steve's (who has gorgeous hair) and I said, "Maddox, your hair is soooo pretty. It looks just like Bach's"... immediately, Maddox reached up with his messy hands, rubbed them (food and all) into in his nice clean hair and smiled with his wonderful baby teeth huge grin! So much for his beautiful hair! Steve and I died laughing!
Owen is Bach's buddy. He follows Steve all over the house. This morning he told me to "go way":) Steve and Owen build blocks and ride the four wheeler, but when Steve is not at home, Owen likes his Vee just fine. We read books, sing silly songs, dance, and sometimes run errands. He loves to help load the clothes dryer and unpack groceries. Two year olds are adorable! Especially this one!

Wedding progress - Sara Frances has chosen her wedding gown. It has been ordered and should arrive by the end of July! Caitlin and I went with Sara Frances to her appointments, but tried to keep our opinions to ourselves so that the little "bride to be" could chose her favorite. Every dress she tried on was beautiful, so any choice would have been fine, but we kept our fingers crossed for one. By the end of a long day... Laurens to Greenville to Spartanburg to Greenville and back to Columbia... Sara Frances had no doubt that one of the gowns at Poinsett Bride was going to be THE ONE! (Caitlin and I were thrilled because SF chose the one we absolutely loved). What a fun day!
Thanks to Debbie for babysitting Maddox and my hubby, Bach, for keeping little Owen so that we could have a serious shopping day with no distractions.
One floral appointment is done and one more to go; cake vendor is secured; transportation is next on my list. Something to be done every week to get this shindig planned! haha

The USC Gamecocks started baseball season in their new Carolina Stadium. Steve and I enjoyed the first two games this past weekend, but do not plan to go to ALL of the games this year. Our favorite player has graduated so while we enjoy cheering on the Gamecocks, it's just not the same without Harley on the field! Harley and Sara Frances also enjoyed their first game of the season. They visited with former teammates, coaches, toured the facility, and sat with the players' families. We all love our new tailgate area, thanks to some HUGE baseball fans who secured the spaces. We are fortunate to be included with this group of fans, players, and parents.
